  • Great news! We have the all clear to go on to our back playground. The grounds will be mowed this week and the fence will come down by Friday. As a celebration we will hold our school cross-country next Monday, weather permitting. Please see inside for times.
  • Greg Costello, the coordinator of the recent ISER Public Schools Junior Band Camp, has asked me to thank Sam and Bridget for being great representatives at this camp. Well done! More information about our school band is in the newsletter.
  • Next Tuesday morning, 8th April, there will be a teacher’s stop work meeting at 9.00am. Normal classes will resume at 11.00am. There will be limited supervision at school before 11.00am. A note will be forwarded home later this week giving further details.
  • Congratulations to Ryan, Holly, Lachlan, Nathan, Jaiden and Jay for earning their Principal’s Award last week.

Band News

We have enough interested students for a band this year. We are again fortunate to have Eric Dunan from the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music to tutor students and coordinate the band. There are a few changes this year. The weekly cost for tuition will be $7 and lessons will be during school on Tuesday afternoons with beginners and advanced sessions. Eric will be holding a meeting for interested students next Tuesday at 2pm. Parents are welcome to attend this meeting. If there are students who are interested in band but have not yet put an expression of interest in, you may still do so by taking a form from the office and returning it no later than Wednesday.
